Marion Street Garden, 1500 Marion Street (off P St NW, north of Kennedy Rec Ctr)
City Blossoms is planning a building day at the Marion Street Community Garden. They will be constructing raised beds with the talented students of Youth Build Public charter School and fixing up the space to prep for a summer crop planting. CityBlossoms invites you to join us in transforming this space into a beautiful bounty of art, flowers, fruits and veggies this season!
Along with helping hands, we welcome donations of the following: organic compost, hand tools (trowels, forks, pruners,etc), perennial plants (coneflowers/echinacea, salvia, coreopsis, black-eyed susans are faves - get them at Old City Green!), containers (ceramic and otherwise), stepping stones, snacks for volunteers. As always we will provide FREE Seeds for volunteers and light snacks. See you Saturday!

banished?productions continues their art installment: "ballades mechanique ver 2.0" (shadow storytelling) In the Marion St Garden. banished?productions has something special planned for the closing finale of this exhibition and community gathering set for Saturday, April 24, more details to come in the next week or so.

Maruka Gallery & Boutique
The Maruka Gallery & Boutique is presenting a Jewelry Trunk Show with Jewelry Artist Liz Cowee. Liz Cowee studied jewelry fabrication at the Gemological Institute of America in California, and cut her teeth at Vermont's renowned Grannis Gallery. She works with resin, sterling silver and gold. Liz's innovative designs turn dramatic twists on classical styles to put some funk back into fashion.
