KIPP students and the community shouldn't have long to wait now for the state-of-the-art lacrosse, softball and soccer fields (and dog park!) that will be the site of The US Soccer Foundation's signature field in the Nation's Capital in eastern Shaw at the Bundy Field, 400 b/o P Street NW. The project broke ground this morning. Original estimates were that a field this size would take less than a month to complete. As long as it's done by the time the weather warms up for spring, it will be right on time.

Many thanks to our new Ward 6 Councilmember's staff for their diligent work and attempts to determine if the discarded (relatively new) field lights at nearby Dunbar High School (just yards away across NJ Ave NW) can be transferred to Bundy. The Dunbar Field will be completed redone with a new set of lights once that project is complete.
