Evans to Host WASA Town Hall Meeting
Ward 2 Councilmember Jack Evans, in partnership with DC Water and Sewer Authority (WASA) General Manager George Hawkins, is hosting a town hall meeting to discuss WASA infrastructure needs in Ward 2, as well as proposed water rate increases.
“I encourage all Ward 2 residents to come out and share their concerns,” said Evans. “This is a great opportunity to get questions answered by WASA representatives and to let us know how WASA service can be improved in the Ward and around the city.”
Discussion topics at the meeting will include WASA infrastructure needs; upcoming construction projects; fire hydrants and how to check their real-time operating status; who to call for water emergencies; billing issues, with Customer Service representatives and computer terminals on hand to help resolve them; how to apply for WASA jobs; and WASA’s catch basin cleaning schedule.
