TBD reports that the organizers of the ONE DC protest of city plans for Parcel 42 have abandoned the site which was subsequently inhabited by homeless persons who have also now abandoned the site. All organizers should be involved in clean up of their protest materials on DC owned private land. Organizers that cannot take responsibility for something they started are not responsible and don't deserve the respect of residents or the government.

ONE DC, the original organizers of the tent city, released a statement Thursday night washing their hands of responsibility for any ongoing protest presence at Parcel 42. They say their leadership of the protest ended on July 15, and that the tent city has since been transitioned to individuals unaffiliated with them, who have taken up the cause on their own.
