All are welcome to attend our meetings. Unless otherwise noted, meetings are generally held on the last Tuesday of the month at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1401 7th Street NW, at 7:00PM. All residents and business owners in the shaded area shown in our map are welcome to join.

The Convention Center Community Association (CCCA) promotes the civic interests of the residents of the area in the District of Columbia near the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. In June 2009, the CCCA was proud to join the Federation of Citizens Associations of the District of Columbia (Organized March 5, 1910 – Incorporated June 3, 1940).

We are always happy to put citizen's issues on our agenda when requested.

ACTION ALERTS

The CCCA joins ANC 2C in unanimously supporting the special exception sought by Beau Thai Restaurant to allow a change from one nonconforming use (fast food restaurant) to another (sit-down restaurant). Beau Thai's BZA hearing is set for Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 10 or 10:30 am.

The CCCA supports the grassroots activism and efforts of the Friends of Bundy Park to convert the vacant lot near the Bundy School into a dynamic, safe, and beneficial amenity for local neighbors.
