Cleaning up the trash in the neighborhood just got a bit easier this week

The Office of the Clean City has launched an online form that will allow residents to submit applications for Helping Hands volunteer neighborhood clean up events. The use of the online form promotes efficiency in service in addition to promoting a clean environment by eliminating the use of paper.

It's also interesting to know that "DPW, in partnership with the Metropolitan Police Department, offers a reward of up to $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of each illegal dumper." Perhaps they should include illegal taggers to the list for those who turn in other criminals trashing the neighborhood.
