Cyclist Fatally Struck Near Nuclear Summit.
8:05 p.m.: D.C. Police now confirm that the cyclist, a woman, has in fact died. We still do not know her identity.

ABC 7's Jennifer Donelan reports the vehicle backed up over the female cyclist at 12th Street NW and New York Avenue, about five blocks from the Walter E Washington Convention Center. The vehicle was assigned to the motorcade security route when the incident took place. Much of the area around the convention center is blocked off as part of security restrictions for the summit. The incident took place outside the secure zone. The accident is under investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department.
