Toque Café coming to 6th & R Streets NW
6th & R Streets NW (former home of Chain Reaction bike shop) just off Rhode Island Avenue.
The new owners of the shop on the 600 block of R Street NW plan to bring a Middle Eastern casual sit-down and carry-out eatery to Shaw. Click here for sample menu. With great breakfast options and delicious looking dinner options under $9, this is likely to be a big hotspot for Shaw residents once it's up an running. The owners will be coming to an upcoming CCCA meeting once they have a full formal presentation ready for the community.

We have not been in direct contact with the owner(s) of either property yet.
But according to the BZA, the owner of the shop on 6th & Q is scheduled to have a hearing about his request for variance on Oct. 6.
